THE SHOWBROADS Are Baaaaaaack! Get ready NYC and SF!

“There’s a new duo in town and they’re on their way to paradise. Everyone needs to get a ticket, get on board, buckle in, and get ready for the ride of their lives.” – Stephen Mosher, BroadwayWorld

MARTA SANDERS & LEANNE BORGHESI are THE SHOWBROADS and they are baaaaaaack just in time for Marta’s birthday bash with “SHOWBROADS…A Night Club Duel” in New York at famed Birdland Jazz Club March 8th 5:30pm.

After their standing room/sold out debut November, these “dueling divas” are back to heat up the stage with their brassy belts, boa-ography & over the top comedic chops with and array of  “showstopping number after showstopping number.”

Theatricality onstage is crafted with hilarious moments throughout the show with the talent of writing partner Nathan Cann.  The laughs are plenty in this show, and there are also surprising moments of humanity with Direction by Nicolas Minas and Boa-ography by Pim Van Amerongen and sound assistance by Sharon Boggs.

Arrangements/Musical Direction by seasoned composer Dana P. Rowe (Witches of Eastwick, Blackbeard, The Fix, and Zombie Prom). Dana leads a tight combo with Don Kelly (drums), Jim Piela (sax/clarinet) and Jamie Mohamadien (bass).

Grab your seat now! Tickets are on sale for NYC (SF dates and tickets TBA)!

“What happens when you put two belters on a stage together . . . one a little older, the other a little younger? It’s the battle of the broads! The claws and feathers are flying!  Who am I talking about?. Marta Sanders, a nightclub and cabaret veteran who also made her way onto Broadway in Best Little Whorehouse . . . and the be-feathered, larger than life cabaret dynamo Leanne Borghesi. It’s an explosion of talent, natural comedic skill, clever patter and super duper voices that soar.”- Sandi Durell, Theater Pizazz

“The success of Showbroads was owing to a high caliber of talent in all departments. But not the least of these defining factors was an intangible—the  chemistry of Sanders and Borghesi onstage. This is a quality of undefinable and mystical proportions, but the two have it, complimenting each other and clearly respecting the other’s abilities. Direction by Nicolas Minas also contributed mightily to the fun and success of the piece. Dynamic arrangements and piano perfection by music director Dana P. Rowe was aided by top-flight musicians, Jamie Mohamdien on bass, Don  Kelly on drums and Jim Piela on sax.” – Marilyn Lester, NiteLife Exchange
